Twinky is a happy, fluffy pug puppy with a curlicue tail, the kind of tail that curls up tight when she is joyful and goes straight when she is scared. She lives a cozy life with her papa person and her sister pup, Lola the Boston Terrier. Then one small mistake changes everything.
On the way home from a trip, Twinky chases a butterfly right off the train, and the doors close without her. Suddenly she is alone on the platform, a long way from home. What follows is a real hero's journey: across a broken railway bridge, down a raging river toward a waterfall, through a maze of woods, over a field of wolves, and into a storm-chasing dash down the final street. She cannot do it alone. Good thing she keeps meeting exactly the right friend at exactly the right time.
